These terms govern the use of Krowdwave across Nigerian universities, polytechnics, student union governments (SUGs), faculty councils, departmental associations, and course rep groups.
Krowdwave provides digital collection portals, tamper-proof QR receipts, and treasury management tools. We are not a bank. We partner with licensed payment providers to process transactions securely. All student payments generate verifiable receipts that eliminate lost paper receipts and handover disputes. Associations must collect only legitimate, constitutionally approved dues.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, creating, or using any Krowdwave collection portal, subdomain (e.g., your-association.krowdwave.com.ng), course rep payment link, or student receipt verification service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you are acting on behalf of a student association, faculty council, departmental body, or class set, you represent and warrant that you hold legitimate authority (such as an executive office, appointment letter, or recognized course representative role) to bind that body to these Terms.

3. Association Portals & Governance
Associations are granted access to establish branded portals subject to verification of identity. Krowdwave reserves the right to request proof of executive status, including faculty endorsement letters, student ID cards, or departmental confirmation before enabling automated bank payouts.
- Legitimate Dues Only: Associations may only publish levies, dues, and packages that have been constitutionally authorized by their respective student bodies or faculty leadership.
- Multi-Signature Approvals: Payout requests from association collection balances require dual-authorization (e.g., Financial Secretary and President/Treasurer) to ensure complete internal transparency.
- No Personal Account Divergence: Association dues collected via dedicated association portals must route to designated association bank accounts or approved student welfare accounts, not unverified personal wallets.
4. Dues Collection, Fees & Payouts
Krowdwave provides technical infrastructure for payments. All electronic collections (debit cards, bank transfers, and USSD) are securely routed and processed through licensed payment providers.
Fee Structure Principles:
- Zero monthly maintenance charges or upfront server installation fees for student associations.
- Modest processing fee per successful digital transaction, subject to low fee caps to protect student pockets.
- Student emergency welfare campaigns are exempt from Krowdwave platform charges.
Offline Cash Teller Reconciliation: When an association accepts physical cash from a student, the authorized Treasurer must log the transaction in the Krowdwave Cash Reconciliation module with receipt counter-signatures. Fictitious cash entries without matching student physical sign-offs are strictly prohibited.
5. Tamper-Proof Digital QR Receipts
Every successful dues payment instantly produces an immutable digital receipt. The embedded QR code resolves directly to Krowdwave’s live verification node, showing the student’s matriculation number, name, amount paid, and transaction timestamp.
Altering, photoshopping, or generating fabricated digital receipts to bypass departmental clearances, exam accreditation, or student election voting is a criminal offense and a breach of institutional honour codes. Attempted forgery will be reported to the relevant Dean of Student Affairs or Head of Department (HOD).
6. Zero Handover Amnesia & Auditing
One of Krowdwave’s core mandates is eliminating the recurring problem of lost records when student administrations change.
- Permanent Record of Truth: Once an academic session concludes, transaction logs and clearance checklists remain permanently archived. Outgoing executives cannot purge or delete historical payment ledgers.
- Incoming Exco Onboarding: Newly elected executives inherit verified archival balances and rosters, guaranteeing smooth administrative transitions without missing ledger books or audit disputes.
- Graduation Clearance Security: Graduating students retain access to their digital receipt vault, ensuring they can prove clearance years later during final transcript processing or NYSC mobilization.
7. Course Rep Class Collections
Course representatives using Krowdwave for class projects, excursions, departmental t-shirts, or banquet tickets must ensure all collection targets and expenditures are transparently communicated to class members.
Krowdwave provides shareable WhatsApp payment links and real-time payer checklists. Course reps agree not to use class collection links for personal loans, unapproved levies, or unauthorized private expenditures.
8. Student Emergency Crowdfunding
Campaigns created under the Student Emergency Crowdfund module (for medical emergencies, unexpected tuition distress, or student welfare relief) must meet basic verification criteria prior to public dissemination.
Donors contribute voluntarily. Funds raised are disbursed according to milestone verification, directly to the beneficiary’s medical institution, university bursary, or verified student account to prevent diversion.
9. Prohibited Conduct & Integrity
You agree not to use Krowdwave to:
- Collect extortionate or unregistered levies under false pretences;
- Impersonate any student leader, departmental body, or university staff;
- Upload fabricated matriculation or enrollment rosters;
- Attempt to probe, reverse engineer, or exploit vulnerability in the QR verification engine;
- Launder illicit funds or bypass financial integrity standards.
Violations will result in immediate portal suspension, account freezing, and formal notification to campus authorities.
10. Limitation of Liability
Krowdwave provides a modern, reliable software platform. While we maintain 99.9% target uptime, we are not liable for telecommunication network drops, bank gateway downtime, or unconfirmed transfers resulting from external interbank network glitches.
In the event of a disputed bank transfer where money left a student’s account without generating an automatic receipt, our automated reconciliation desk and support channels will verify the transaction reference with our payment providers to resolve the issue promptly.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably through our support desk shall be settled through binding mediation or courts of competent jurisdiction within Nigeria.
